Responsibilities
- Preparation:
Removing old hardware, including knobs, pulls, and hinges, and cleaning the cabinet surfaces.
- Veneering/Laminating:
Applying new veneer or laminate to the cabinet boxes, including the sides, to cover the existing structure.
- Installing New Doors and Drawer Fronts:
Attaching new doors and drawer fronts, often using existing hinges or replacing them.
- Replacing Hardware:
Installing new hardware, including hinges, handles, and drawer pulls, as needed.
- Optional:
Repairing or replacing internal hardware like drawer glides.
- Finishing:Ensuring all new materials are properly installed and the cabinets are clean and presentable.
